Left Handed Guitarist was concieved and put together by John Crickett. As a left handed guitarist I'm fed up with not being able to walk in to a guitar shop and try and of the guitars. Somewhere between 10 and 20 percent of the population (depending on which figures you use) are left handed so as many as 1 in 5 of guitarists may want a left handed guitar yet the average shop has a ration of 1 left handed guitar to 30 right handed guitars at best!
I'm hoping this website will encourage guitarist, manufaturers and shops to think more about the left handed market and how to offer us more choice. So if you're a left handed guitarist get in touch let me know how many of us there are, if you know of a famous lefty that's not mentioned on the site then send me details. If you're a manufacture send us a catalogue, details and jpegs or better yet a guitar to review. If you sell guitars let me know and I'll link to you and finally if you've a left handed guitar website then lets link to each other and encourage southpaws the world over to get the guitars they want!
I aim to have the biggest collection of left handed guitar material, guitar shops, guitar manufacturers, and left handed guitarists in the world with details of anything and everything that helps the left handed guitarist get the most out of their guitar and their music.
